THE BARN COAT
If you can’t tell, I get really thrilled about the arrival of fall. Although we are not yet in jacket season right now,. I am already creating my wish list and considering the styles I intend to adopt for the next season. My usual casual jacket last year was a quilted coat; I discussed these here and here. This year, I am feeling the barn coat. Whatever you decide to call it, the ideal throw-on-and-go garment is the barn coat—or field jacket—or collared utility coat.
