Is the Row Margaux bag worth it?
To tell you the truth, I didn’t give a damn about The Row Margaux Bag when it first came out. I don’t know if I was in my “quiet luxury” phase (still not sure about this quiet luxury thing, tbh, but it’s fun to say) yet, and also, The Row was never on my radar for price. It isn’t now, but bags and shoes are always exceptions. So, when I started to see Margaux all over Instagram and TikTok, I had questions. Many questions. And then they said that it was sold out together. In this blog, we see whether the Row Margaux bag is worth it or not.
I know people would think that I’m an idiot for doing so, but I really don’t care about having everything everyone else has. I was well aware of the fact that my taste is far from original, so I did some research on the bag and decided that I wanted to try and find one for myself. Honestly, it involved months of stalking resale websites, turning on notifications, and endlessly checking emails. And one day, luck smiled at me. In this blog, we see whether the Row Margaux bag is worth it or not.
The Row Margaux Bag
I was able to purchase a black suede Margaux 15 and it quickly became the only bag I carried for fall and winter trips. However, as this review would have it, let’s take a look at the good and bad of the handbag.
PROS
- Minimalist style For me, one of the things that appealed to me about this bag was that I liked how it matched my style very well. I wore it with a sweater.
- Good for trips Well, strictly speaking, I have not done any travel with this bag. But throughout several months, I commuted, carrying it to and from work every day, and it never let me down. It’s something I’d definitely take on board as a hand luggage piece!
- Small sizes This is why talking about purses are rather weird for me; usually, the larger, the better. Also, I wanted 17s but when my order came in, I was so thrilled that all there was left was The Row Margaux 15 instead of the 17. It’s an oversized bag for my frame, even though am 5’2”
CONS
- Suede’s not a year-round thing Now that the weather is warming up, I’m kind of sad that I have to put away my bag for the summer. I do LOVE suede handbags, but in fact, I wish it were made of plain leather instead. But truth be told, I was going to take anything.
- Quickly heavy, such a meanie, I like carrying things around me when I am traveling. In this case, during the process of moving about , she added 50 pounds on her back. At first, when I got this bag, I thought, “Oh, definitely use as work bag.” It lasted me about two weeks and then some more. It was A LOT to carry for my arms. For the 15 and 17 bags, there are no crossbody straps. All you can do is either carry it on your arm or hold it in your hand. It’s certainly not an ideal New York commute but I just loved it so much and wanted to make it work.Doing this REALLY took a toll on the straps so I might take it to get it looked at and see if they need some love.
conclusion
The Row Margaux bag is a really good investment, provided that’s what you want. This can be one of those bags you can picture having for years down the line, though.
